melting plastic
so i've wanted to do this arts and crafts project for months now, and i finally got around to it.
this blogger i love, Ivania Carpio of Love Aesthetics is always posting amazing DIY ideas, and i'm definitely giving her all the credit here.
i appreciate her mix of high and low, and when i say low, i mean $0.39 from the hardware store low.
also she has killer style.

i took the copper ring idea to the next level so they would sit on the base of my fingers.
you will need the aid of a motorcycle chop shop, and someone who can teach you how to use a dremmel drill tool thing, to cut through the copper rings to open them up wider.
also you will need a jewellery designer bestie/roomate who can give you good advice, like using a wooden dowel will make it 500% times easier to sand down the sharp bits of the copper tubing.
after a few hours of sitting in the sun sanding plastic and copper, and sitting in front of the oven, i successfully created some new goods for just pennies.
i'll try to keep going with this, Ivania makes belts and chokers out of plexiglas and it blows my mind.
